It is once again time to dust off the wheels and looms for the 2018 WWSG’s season!
The first meeting is slated for April 21st at the Damascus Municipal Building (Damascus, PA). Our meetings occur on the third Saturday of each month (April-November). Membership dues are $20 for the 2018 year. Please bring a dish to share for the potluck lunch.
April’s program will include sorting the guild’s library (spinning and weaving books, magazines, videos, etc.) What an excellent opportunity to peruse the guilds resources! All materials are available for use by members. In addition, a hands-on project of wool dryer ball construction will complete the days program. Bring all those wool scraps with you and turn them into a something usable!
Looking ahead to other programs, we have the following line-up: May (natural dyeing & drop spindle lessons), June (textured rigid heddle weaving), July (Zane Grey Museum demonstration), August (introduction to tatting), September (create fiber “up-cycling”), October (spin-in) and November (spinning wheel & loom care).
